I have lots of wind noise coming from the front passenger door, on my 5 door LHD pre FL 147.
The drivers side is completely quiet. I don't feel any wind coming in on the passenger side, but the noise is there, and even at low speeds (starts around 70km/h). Sounds like a constant flow of air somewhere near the mirror.
All door rubbers and seals seem to be in place and in acceptable shape, same or better than the drivers door. The ones that look like sponges within the engine bay are present and in good condition too. I also checked if the window goes too high, and that's not the issue. tried to leave it few mm lower than full up, and nothing changed.
Where should I start looking? I should also mention that there is a possibility that someone tried to open the car (successfully) from the passenger side, but I don't think any forcing of the door/seals was involved. I think they got through the lock since its completely unusable. The previous owner told me he had the glove box contents stolen, but he thought he left the car unlocked. I believe someone managed to open the car through the passenger lock and he never noticed since there's no reason to use a key to open the car, let alone from the passenger door.
