You CANT mix ETHANOL and PROPANOL based products without a disaster.
If you use the Organic Acid stuff as Ferret referred to - it really doesnt ever need changed - lasts around 10 years/ 150K
Be careful with PRESTONE - its only a brand, they sell ethanol based, Propanol based (low tox) and OA (dex) as well as the stuff that allegedly mixes with any of them.
On our industrial cooling systems we use chemists to analyse the ethylene glycol and inhibitor levels and nevr mix incompatable products - I am wary of a 'universal' solution as it doesnt exist in industrial systems!
Incompatable chemicals can (and do) cause foaming, corrosion, blockages and sometimes dislodge corrosion thats been well seated for years, or let particles out the solution into the engine.
Personally, I top up with water up to a point, then flush and refill with a single product.
