Horn has packed up

Obvious jokes aside, the horn on my 2004 155 has total packed up after a short period of really having to repeatedly push the steering wheel centre pad. Sounds like the switches then? But how do I get the switch pad cover off the check the switches?

cheers, richard

Re: Horn has packed up

Think you mean your 2004 156 ??? Got me thinking for a second or two ..

The controls are all behind the airbag so that has to come off. It's two TORX screws ... but disconnect the battery for about 10-20 mins before or you could accidentally set the airbag off!

Re: Horn has packed up

My horn has also packed up. I reckon yours could be the actual horn itself. Never heard of the switches packing in but I suppose anything is possible.

Mine sounds like a Noddy car now. My kids don't let me forget it. It sounds like only one "tone" is working. I'm too embarrased to use it at the moment.

Anybody else have this problem?

Re: Horn has packed up

Check the plugs on your horns Noddy, sounds like ones fell off.

If they made 2004 155s I'd be driving one right now.
