Re: Is it normal? (selespeed)
It is normal, especially just after you have started the car!
On mine, I have a good battery which puts out 12.6volts sub zero cold. When you unlock and open the car the selespeed pump pressurizes the system, then you start the car, then the pump kicks in again to actuate the hydraulics, all with thick fluid due to low seasonal temps.
As long as it isn't doing it when the car is hot, or has been running a fair while there isn't a problem.
If it is giving problems, just disconnect the neg battery lead, stick a charger on the battery over night, that should sort it nicely!
If you do end up having to buy a new battery, go over rated! The new calcium jobbies from Halfrauds are good!
