Info Centre - Patchy display

Hi all. Just bought my 156 1.8 TS Veloce today

On the way home the info centre display was fine but now it seems patchy

Any ideas?

Same problem with mine.

Supposed to be a £120 fix at a main dealer or £40 from the scrappy. A mate manged to do it himself as its a straight swap for the head unit. Not bothered to get round to it.

I have a spare one but I'm stuggling to get the connectors behind the dash apart. It's a common problem though. Affected by heat. Blast the AC on LO for 3 mins. You'll get you're screen back a bit

Mine was like that for 3 years - it gets red hot in the winter as the hot air blasts past it en route to the screen, if you cool it down (eg with AC) its fine.

Its also tardy on cold mornings till it warms up a bit - its just the location of the thing.

It doesnt happen in summer.
