we sometimes forget on here there are other flavours of car available!
I think if I were in this position a sele would be enough to put me off Alfa Auto's of that era I only mentioned it earlier as Vs fitting a Q tronic into a V6 GT its the much cheaper and easier choice, the Q tronic is much better but it could prove costly to transplant one over.
The wife only drives Auto's ,she can drive a manual but really does not enjoy it, we recently had to replace her ailing Honda Civic and although she loves my GT and the 147 I had to be honest with her and say ''stay away'' we tried the Giulietta QV with the TCT box and then several other TCT boxed Giulietta's , the derv and the 1.4 multiair.
I came to the conclusion that Alfa just don't do auto very well TBH, I found the TCT box in the QV very dim witted and you could feel it thinking and catch it in two minds easily, this impeded progress and made it feel like a had to second guess the box as well as other drivers intentions.
My Mrs eventually bought a new pug 208 GT line against my advice and it has been fairly troublesome with the electrics...
it's a shame when you go out to Buy an Alfa and come home with a Pug because Alfa can't make a decent automatic car...lets hope the Giulia is better.
I think the Audi is a very good shout for a sporty auto coupe
