Well had the first long run since changing the stat and no matter how it's driven it doesn't do more than 30 mpg. I know it a 2.0 petrol but my old car would do 40 on a run can't see why it's so bad. Full service next after that I guess it's put up or shut up. I understand now why they sell so many diesels ?????
sounds not far off about right for real world MPG on a JTS I'm afraid, they vary of course but my old one about 28 MPG when I calculated brim to brim.
confirmed its not much better on a long run as went through a full tank on the way to Edinburgh from Guildford, Journey of about 420 miles ... fuel light came on just as I was getting into Haddington.
my derv by comparison will get all the away there and half way back on one tank, so yeah that's exactly why the sell so many dervs and why the trend for petrol is now small displacement turbo charged units.
