147 Lift off oversteer
While heading back to my girlfriends after cycling, I decided to see how much grip my new Toyo Proxes had in the wet, so half way round one roundabout I began to accelerate in 2nd and to my suprise the car just gripped without fuss, no tc cutting in, no wheel spin, but then I came to a second roundabout, this time I didnt go as fast or accelerate as hard, BUT half way round the back of the car broke away very quickly, it didnt even hint it was going to do it, luckily I grabbed an arm full of opposite lock and controlled the slide.
I cant understand why it did this, either the TC cut in, even though there was no wheel spin or sliding, and the effect was oversteer? or there was diesel on the road, but surely if there was diesel the front would have washed wide first? The tyres on the back are Michelin Pilots but the difference in grip levels between the Toyo and Michelin woulnd't have caused this? Also i did not lift off the throttle mid corner. Anyway the 147 is a wallowy old hector at the limit, it really didn't like it, bouncing and rocking away.
Has anyone else experienced this?
