New clutch clunk sound
Two days ago my clutch gave out (throw out bearing broke) and I decided to replace the whole thing while I'm there, so I got a Valeo flywheel + complete clutch kit. Today new clutch was fitted but there is some kind of a weird noise, like a knock or a clunk when releasing the clutch, just at the top of the clutch, just before I remove my foot completely from it.
It is a one time knock/clunk only, not a continuous sound..
The whole thing is new, so should I be worried? Is there something not fitted correctly or? Maybe it needs some time for evertyhing to settle properly?
I'm pretty worried because the replacement wasn't cheap and I would hate if I had some issues now..
Edit: Car is 147, 2006, 1.9JTDm 150HP
Edit: I just tested it and it does it in 1st gear (when moving from standstill), 2nd gear if accelerating a bit harder, 3rd gear too if accelerating a bit harder... Not sure if the new flywheel (dmf) is making the noise or could it be engine mount bushes or crankshaft or.... The noise wasn't there with the old clutch even when accelerating hard (the clutch wasn't slipping)
