Fixed my Key Fob--Yippee

When we bought the Sproutwagon the key fob didn't work, and there was only one, so we bought another

I took no 1 key fob apart last night and found the microswitch for the central locking (its tiny) floating about in the casing.

So with all the soldering skills of a bricky wearing boxing gloves I reattached it.........and........IT my surprise

Re: Fixed my Key Fob--Yippee

I bought my 02 156 last week. The garage had both keys but the one he gave me for the test drive had no button under the plastic "bubble". The second key works fine.

I have asked him to repair or replace the defective key and hope to receive it soon.

What did the key cost you?

Re: Fixed my Key Fob--Yippee

Well...a new key plus programming costs about 135 or thereabouts.

If you know a demon with a soldering iron, you can get new microswitches from Farnell electronics for about 30 pence each plus postage..which is what i was about to do when I found the old switch inside the fob.

I think your garage might not like to see their profit on the deal go down the tubes.

good Luck
