Light Bulbs

I had to replace both sidelight bulbs for the MOT back in January. Took the car out today and the "beep" warning came up sidelight bulb failed. Darn it. Is it just me or do other guys have problems with very short life for light bulbs? They never last very long but 2 months is a bit of a record low.
I buy them from the local motor factor. Is that the problem? Is there a better source for bulbs? Or is it a wiring issue?

Don't touch the glass when installing, and/or upgrade to LED bulb clusters... Fit and forget!

I just threw my LED sidelights away today, after two weeks. I hoped they would last longer then the regular H6W bulbs (usually half a year) but it is even shorter. By the look of it the LED's get way to hot. Right now I've put those Osram bulbs in, so we will see how long they last.

It's not always blown bulbs. Quite often it is a bad connection in the holder and just remove and refit the same bulb fixes it.

One of the reasons why I bought new headlights, the sidelight holders were ***ed, bulbs were dancing like mad in there.
