Alfa 147 2.0 16V Performance
Hi, just picked up a 147 2.0 TS, first alfa. Has a lambda sensor down on bank 2 (heater fault), but other than that OBD reports no faults and it drives OK. Not sure it feels all of its supposed 150hp though. Seems to bomb out at the higher end of the rev range. Pulls hard from about 4.5 to 5 then gives up. I've checked the cam variator solenoid by checking the ECU gives it 12V above ~2000 rpm and I took it out and put 12V across it to see if it moves and it does.
Its running ~20 degrees ignition advance at full load according to OBD and this does not seem like a right lot to me. Does it enter limp mode when there is some ECU/Lambda fault and pull timing?
Perhaps someone who has done some similar logging might also have a figure for MAF at 6000 rpm. Mine is about 100g/s does that seem right. Points to it being about 125hp. Any thoughts/suggestions/ideas info appreciated.
On a side note its a nice little car, not rusting and nice handling wise although does roll when you really lean on it. Turn in is very sharp, great for twisty lanes...
