Help!!! Front Sidelights

I have bought a pair of XENON LED H6W BULBS for the front sidelights.
In our manual, it said the bulb have to be operated in 6W.....but the bulbs i bought, only written 15V DC. I don't know whether it's suitable or not, cos i dun wanna to blow off the fuse.

Anyone know about the bulbs?

Here is the website i bought the bulbs from:

Re: Help!!! Front Sidelights

They might work as you will only be pushing 12V through them, but slightly less bright that they are designed for. They work with voltages UP TO 15V so you won't have a fuse problem.

BUT .... Your blown bulb warning light will be on permanently as they don't have the same resistance so the electrics thinks they are duff.

BTW: Anyone looking at that site should note they have got the Headlight Main/Dipped beam the wrong way round ... Main is H1, Dipped is H7.

"Designed to run at up to 15 volts"

Clue in the text.

As for "blown bulb" that would show anyway as they are LED lamps and, by nature, draw less amps.

Re: Help!!! Front Sidelights

bit offtopic, but i hate the way 'bulbs' like that are marketed as "XENON". they obviously aren't xenon; there is no xenon gas inside an LED! sure, they may cast a light/hue similar to a xenon bulb, but they still aren't xenons.

as above, the 'bulb failure' light will stay on and that would annoy the hell out of me.

Agreed - bluish headlights does not equal Xenons!

Re: Help!!! Front Sidelights

real difficult getting LED sidelights for the 156 due to offset pins and then the front of the bulb is covered by the inside of the reflector for the other lights and as most LED lights only put light out straight ahead then what you see is really dim.
Any suggestions greatly received.
Got the rears changed and number plate light - it does mean you can leave your sidelights on in a dark street without flattening the battery (That's if you can get the key to twist that far round - always takes me a couple of minutes to do it)
