156 jts overheating problem
Hi. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction with this problem.
My 156 2.0 jts is overheating because the cooling fan is not kicking in at 90 degrees or so. The temperature goes up to 110 (according to the gauge at least) before I'm too scared to push it further. The fan itself works because it comes on with the a/c but just won't come on as the engine gets hot.
I've had a look through numerous posts here on similar issues but am a bit confused as to where to start looking. The fuses look okay. Could it be as simple as a relay problem? Temperature sender? I gather from some of the posts that it's less likely to be the thermostat because that would probably see the temperature stay low rather than go this high.
I'd really appreciate any advice. I've only just got the car so am hoping it will be a relatively simple fix?
