Cheese GT Joy

Must confess that I haven't read through the thread list for a while but can see that owning an Alfa is a lot of joy, mixed with frustration when things go wrong. I have been SO lucky so far. My GT Lusso 1.9 diesel has been totally reliable, fast, quiet (ish) unless its howling wind outside, and very well specced. Nothing has fallen off, failed or needed repair - I do squirt the tailgate rubbers with a bit of silicone spray every now and then, to keep that quiet, but it has in no way been as bad as some have described. Ned and the boys at Autolusso looked after me really well when I bought the car and since then have been well serviced by Piccadilly in Knaresborough who seem to know what they are doing with Alfa's. So the question is should I quit while I'm ahead, or continue to enjoy my beautiful baby for a couple of years? What do you expert Alfisti do?

Re: GT Joy

If it aint broke why replace it imo.

Ive had my GTA 12 months as of the 25/11 and covered 18,000 miles so far at a grand cost of £175 for a service and 2 new tyres

Cant ask for more than that.

Re: GT Joy

Well I've had mine 2 and a half years now and no trouble at all apart from the odd tailgate rattle.

Still luv the car to bits but now thinking about ordering up a Brera or keeping the GT another year to wait for the lightweight model and the promised all new V6.

Me too - won't touch the Brera till the fat bird loses some weight....a slimine version that performs as it looks could be very tempting
