147 Lower and upper ball joint seals.
I Have an 03 plate 147 and the drivers side started to squeak profusely all the time. Was pointed towards my front ball joints as a culprit. I made a tiny nick in the lower seal with a knife and then injected a good bit of grease. This quietened the car a lot but the same procedure was done on the upper one a week later.
However, with a hole in both seals I have to regrease every other month to keep the crud out and lube in.
Would a small knick surrounded by expelled grease be an MOT failure?
I know I am only buying a bit of time by greasing the joint but they are sooooooo expensive to replace? Not worn either, no play at all!!!
