Rattle accept for dipped clutch

Just wondering if any of you guys have had this problem, my Gt was suppose to go for an mot today and had to cancel it as when I started it up the car had an awful rattle coming from the near side front

Assuming it was an engine problem I've been searching for a diagnosis, however I've now noticed that when I dip my clutch or even rest my foot on it the noise goes away, to be honest looking at the clutch pedal and it goes away, I thought it was a rattle, or a clutch issue,

Any thoughts??

Input shaft bearing on gearbox.

When the clutch is depressed, the drive is disconnected from the gearbox so the rattle stops.

It may also be the release bearing, but they tend to make more noise when the clutch is pressed, because when it is released they are not doing anything.

If it was more of a knocking sound I would have suggested the dual mass flywheel.
