Wave Oil,plugs and coolant help

Hi everyone

to all your advice on my other thread it`s nice to be on a forum where people help when youre new and don`t have a clue what to do.

I need abit more help I`m abit confused about oil plugs and coolant
got everything else required.

Basically from peoples experience what is the best to use

Plugs (ngk, bosch etc) and is it eight ( is that what twinspark is)

oil (castrol, selenia etc) The engine has 68400 on the clock what`s the best grade (5w 40 etc)

Coolant (paraflu or other)

Reason is the engine is running sweet and no noises (touch wood) and i want to keep it that way.

Thanks again everyone.

Re: Oil,plugs and coolant help

Plugs should be NGK Platinums. Yes eight in total: four of each size. Change them every 60000 miles.

Oil: I've only ever used Selenia 10W40 which is what the car came with. (BTW I have changed it since 1998!). I get mine from Shop4Parts in 2l and 5l quantities. Should be a good quality semi-synthetic, although th eoption is to use 10W60 fully synthetic if you drive hard! Everyone has an opinion on oil but I go with what Alfa say.

Coolant: I've used Paraflu and Halfords own! Mixed with distilled/deionised water (I live in the Chilterns which is hard water area .. and if you had seen the state of my old rad, you will see what that does!). As long as specs are same.

cheers, Gary
