156 JTS 2.0

Palmer & Phillips

As this is my first entry here, not sure if this was done to death previously. I have owned a 156 2.0 JTS from new & since 2005 Palmer & Phillips near Oxford have looked after me wonderfully. Many a time I have dropped by so Simon could plug in his computer & cancel a light or two. Always refused payment for such service. Imagine my dismay at the start of 2016 to know they have ceased trading.
I have now found an equally good guy, in Paul, of AforAlfa, based in Aylesbury. Just had my clutch master & slave cylinders changed. Naturally whilst gearbox out, the clutch, even though not worn out, only 95,000 miles, was also changed.
Paul has a new customer.

Silver GT 3.2 V6

I used Palmer & Phillips for a good few years when I worked in Cowley and they were always really good. My old 145 was in so often for airbag issues I was on first name terms with them all. Do most of my own servicing now and have a mechanically minded friend who helps with the more complicated stuff.....

That is a shame, I have never used Palmer Philips but have heard good things about them.

Now there are no decent specialists in this area.
