Re: Pollen filters on 147
thanks all who helped...heres the idiots guide...
Consider putting something soft on the edge of the car as you will be on your back for a good 10 to 20 mins..
You will need a 5.5mm socket and extending bar.
Pollen filters are located in the passenger footwell right under dash, there are 3 nuts holding a bit of trim up, remove the nuts and the large black plastic nut at the back.
There are 3 small bolts holding up an 'L' shaped bit of plastic, it is found towards the centre of the car near the dash board...one bolts is obvious, one is located in a semi circular plastic recess, the third is right at the back.
Remove the 3 bolts and bit of plastic.
MAKE A NOTE OF WHICH WAY THE FILTERS COME OUT.
Remove filters, first one comes out easy, you need to stick hand inside to get second one out. watch your eyes if it hasnt been done for a while as it can be full of muck, have a rubbish bag handy for it all to drop into..
Replace with new pollen filters, ensure they go in the right way round..ie folds horizontal, writing on side away from centre of car, with arrow facing towards the boot..
The first filter needs to go right in and can be a bit of a fiddle, the second one is simple.
Replace... all 3 bolts on plastic bracket, the black plug and 3 nuts under dash.
