Some help needed

A few wee problems with my 2001 Alfa 156 Sportwagon 2.4JTD Veloce.

1: I bought some Koni lowered springs (grey in colour) and was going to replace the shocks when I was fitting the springs. Can I buy shock inserts or do I need to buy the complete strut. I already have the springs so does a strut come with new spring. Am I right in I'm thinking I can buy shocks for the back suspension ok.
PS I'm not looking to spend too much hense the insert question and i will be towing a caravan some times so am I wise to put in lowered springs. The suspension is way too soft anyway.

2: Every time I try to fill up my Alfa the blasted pump clicks and i have to trickle in the fuuel until I have at least 20 of diesel in. Is this a common fault or just mine.

3: Is a clutch change straight forward enough?

4: Does anybody recomend any performance chips. I know that Angel Tuning comes highly recomended but I am in N. Ireland so its not an option going to see them.

Thanks if anybody has time to answer some of my questions. I'm sure some of these have been posted before but the suspension is tricky as mine is a Sportwagon diesel.

Re: Some help needed

The clutch change is a pain in the arse, expect between 5 - 7 hours, I'm about the get mine in soon and am not looking forward to it.

Paul from Angel (Scotland) occasionally goes over to Ireland to tune cars, I recommend you drop them a mail and see when he's next over

Re: Some help needed

Front shocks are inserts, but the rears come in one piece with mountings and bolt to the hub assembly.

Not sure whether you'd be wise to lower if towing ... a couple of members do tow caravans with SWs so they would be better placed to advise you.
