Wave 156 2.5 v6 sump guard/undertray removal

Hi all,

i know this has been discussed before just like many-

my undertray/sump guard is hanging down and i am considering taking it off and not putting another one back on- has anyone done this?

I dont advise to leave it off but many people do including my local Alfa garage and dont appear to have problems.

On my V6 there are a number of pipes and hoses which are very low and if you went over something like a branch etc it would be easy to damage something. Also if gives protection to the belts etc from water, dirt and stones.

I have an aluminium tray fitted which sits much higher. I have an oil cooler and the hoses running to the front of the car are low - I'd hate to rip one of those off

My V6 didn't have an undertray, and my current 2 litre doesn't.

To be honest I don't notice a lot of difference, the engine bay is still nice and clean even without it.

The ally one would be a good choice though.
