I bought a 2001 156 1.8ts a week ago with a peddle that just went straight to the floor the bloke said it was the master. But sadly its not. I changed it but although I can bleed it, fluid leaks from underneath when peddle is pressed and it won't go firm - so has to be the slave.
Is there a tutorial or instructions that I'm missing for doing the swap? Not paying a garage £800 for a £200 car. Workshop manual seem overly complicated just to get the gear box out.
I could rant about the shear stupidity of the design, but I knew it would be a possibility when I bought the car which is immaculate apart from that...
I'm near Newcastle if any one is feeling particularly helpfully and around next Saturday :-p
