Lifespan of Parts..
i bought a 156 with 57k on the clock from the UK, 3 months ago without any service documents but it was serviced when i bought it [belts, tensioners, filters, fluids]..
i ve read somewhere in the Net that a major service? is done around 64k? and i was wondering that my car is in critical mileage concerning changing some parts that might have worn out due to the mileage..
whats the lifespan of the vital parts.. lets say gearbox, clutch, radiator, sensors, wishbones/bushes, suspension etc etc..
what is worth checking in out in the next service taking into account that NOTHING has been changed since the previous buyer[s] bought it?
its a 2002 car.. any thoughts/comments would be appreciated.
p.s the only problem ive noticed is while driving over humps or into holes the front end is making squeeking/tapping noise maybe from worn bushes or wishbones and the fact that when i start the car the engine makes a squeeking rattling noise, a variator thing i suppose as i saw in other threads, but nothing like errating idle or something, although it makes a little diesel sound... maybe the belts are too tight?
OMG, I HAVE THE ALFA BUG
