Power steering fluid leak
So I replaced my clutch and DMF on my 147 1.9jtdm a few weeks ago.
All has been good and the car is running superb! However I noticed that the power steering fluid had dropped a little over 500 miles.
Back at work this week and I have noticed a small rainbow under the car! The PS fluid has gone down again so I presumed I had knocked something on the rack when getting the gearbox out.
Ive had the car on ramps today to see if I can find the issue. The whole underneath of the car has a nice rustproof coating of oil now! However I cannot see anything on the rack or pipes where a leak may be.
The only point where I could see a bit of a drip was bang in the centre of the rack - there is a bracket which holds a black plastic pipe - the 10mm nut that holds this bracket to the rack was loose (I can only presume that I loosened it to get at the starter motor however can't remember tbh) - I have tightened this up as it should be.
COuld this nut be the source of my issue? Do the threads go through to the rack or is it likely the pipe which is leaking?
