Help 147 Selespeed

Does anybody know how to change the gear paddles on the steering wheel. I cannot gear up at the mo. Took the paddle off but cannot get into the steering column to plug the new one in.

Only bought my first Alfa a 147 last weekend but so far so good! great fun.

Finally are there any other common faults anybody knows of, just so I can keep 1 step ahead!

Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome Craig

Do a search regarding your problem, remember reading about figment somewhere

Keep a weekly check on all your fluid/oil levels and keep the Selespeed oil topped-up.

Oh my God.....
You have no idea what you are in for.....

The Actuator goes at 80-90,000 km. About A$4400- in Australia....
Oh and the Selespeed pump is another A$1600- to replace.....

PMP- Ha Ha, it's on ebay this afternoon!!!

Emran - I've found the thread re: fixing the paddle with 3 pieces of tape but I have got a replacement paddle so I might as well fit it, don't know if you can offer any more advice?? Thanks anyway.

The allen keys are needed to loosen the steering wheel cover but I can't get the ******g thing off!! Please somebody help!

Cheers again

Re: 147 Selespeed

if i remember correctly, there is two bolts on the back of the wheel, either side of the paddle. I think these allow removal of the whole paddle unit. Can't be certain tho, its been a whilst since i had the paddles to bits!
