What does the temp gauge say when it's blowing cold air? Could be a thermostat issue. Need more description!

Re: Heater Blowing Cold!!!!!!!!! 156

hi mate ive had this problem and just fixed it today dead easy in the end. remove the side carpets from the center console take off the plastic pipes that take air to the back then proceed to remove the bottom of the heater box. there are around 10 3/16 bolts and four clips. it comes down in two parts the main piece holding the heater matrix leave that in situe. you can then see i 5 inch flap that will be stuck in a horizontal position. now you just play with it a bit prodan poke around or give the motor (on the outside) a light tap and it should start working again. i then smeared a touch of grease on the edge of the flap and some wd on the motor shaft. now im snug as a bug in a rug

Re: Heater Blowing Cold!!!!!!!!! 156

Hey. Mine is doing this too but after turning the blowers off then on again it starts to work.
Also what is your oil temp guage doing? Mine has started to act a bit weird.
The temp guage will reach up to very close to the top then in a matter of seconds will fall back close to the 50line and stay there. The hot air will also only start after the huge rise then fall. Was searching round for any other info when I came across your post.

hope you all still look at this thread - does this work for 147's as my other half reckons he can't see the four clips mentioned above. i was assuming that the 147 setup was the same 156 - what are we missing?
