As above really.
It makes a terrible buzzing/vibration noise at around 2,500-2,800 RPM.
The Alfa needs its dreaded MOT by November 9th, and ive a few problems with the car. Im guessing that this exhaust flexy issue (besides being bloody annoying!!) will be an MOT failure?
Ive had a look in a few places, and looking on alfaworkshop.co.uk it looks like my engine is the CF3 model, with 2 pre-cats built into the header section and another one underneath, after the flexy i think.
So my question is, given the fact a downpipe with 2 (or 3) cats in will cost a bomb, can i say replace it with a Supersprint S/Steel downpipe instead??
If im going to replace it I'd rather it was a performance downpipe thats all.
Any help or advice would be most appreciated... I seem to have a nasty knocking and vibration banging through the car if i nail the throttle in 1st gear, my flexy is knackered and today i noticed (and heard!) that my rear brake pads have worn out, scoring my discs! - This is going to be expensive with its 72k service due in 2,500 miles!!!
Oh and if that wasnt bad enough, my daily derv astra needs an MOT on November 10th!!!
Well i guess almost one years of costless ownership is about to come crashing down with a huge bill! :O
