Not sure why you want to raise the redline?
The rev limiter is probably set to about 800rpm(ish) above peak HP, therefore pushing it past this is just reving the **** off it and not giving you any more gains. ( . ) ( .)
It sounds to me like you want to have different gearing, either individual gears or the final drive (crown wheel).
Neither of these are easy to adjust without mechanical or ecu knowledge.
You can achieve small gains by making it breath better, both intake and exhaust, and even moving the peak torque with different induction shapes but without knowledge of these things it really is trial and error.
Or take it to an engine tuner and they can remove the rev limiter for you...
