A wee bump!
Thanks for the reply, as I am getting closer to removing my Gearbox, for a CSC and clutch change, I am having problems removing intermediate shaft.
Don't you just hate it when the eLearn manual just has : 'undo three bolts and remove'.
Tried to drift it gently with wood and rubber mallet, but no moving. have also tried heating bearing case to expand and release. NADA.
Is there any knack?
Have bought slider-hammer as per someones recomendation, still no joy. Am i missing something; only thing holding I.S. in is suction of fluid and seal in g/box, three 10mm bolts and bearing. ARGHHH
Woooohoo. Gearbox off. and when removing I.S. disengaged and separated. Finally I can get to the Concentric Slave Cylinder. Looks old and also original!
Is it usuall practice to put some black instant gasket around mating faces of CSC and box?
Clutch looks like it had life left it it too, but replacing anyway. Looking like it was well cared for.
Any advice about getting odd bolts etc. had to grind heads of 3 and have twisted another 2 off. Have heard people saying to contact Autolusso for second hand bolts? My thoughts are that it's best to get new, seems obvious.
Thanks to this forum i didn't have the apparent problem of '3rd starter motor bolt', so thank you all.
Next up timing balance and Aux belts and tensioners.. yeah!
