I had to scrap my 2.0 147 recently, rust in the floorpan was considered terminal, coupled with two many other litte problems gave me no choice.
Finally gave in and bought this lovely 2.0 JTS GT from Haslingden Alfa Spares. Neil and co are superb and I highly recommend them to anyone. My dad's bought a facelift GTV from him too which he's chuffed to bits with. Drives great.
Its developed a few faults (lambda sensors, air bag light usual stuff) mainly due to inactivity after been stood around on sale, all have been fixed under warranty, they offer a really great service, and their garage is a wonder to behold, a cave of Alfa spares.
Still getting used to the suspension, its unbelievably hard, round the country lanes near me its fairly harsh but get it on smooth dual carriageway and its like your scything through the air in your own personal silver bullet. Boot is massive too. Best thing is the sound when you floor it.
Worst thing is some wazzock has opened their door on it and completely dinted in the rear panel forward of the rear arch, right along that nice crease too...grrrrr
But anyway, what a great car these are.
