Sorry Pud, didn't see what you was getting at?
When the turbo was previously replaced, the wastegate was completley seized and the vanes were missing from the turbine. The turbo center thought that something must of passed through, possibly dmage from an earlier cambelt failure or broken glow plug, (although the garage didn't seem to think either were possible) other than that no idea, i will mention checking the oil pipes though when it is in.
don't have a boost guage unfortunalty, is this an easy thing to do, I need the car to be working next week, due to me starting a new job, so don't have much time to waste (although saying that this car does drive).
it does seem a little slower than before and is giving out quite a bit of black smoke.
The injector light only comes on, on really cold mornings, which is what prompted me to go to the garage.
Another thing that could of possibly caused the issue is, when i had the remap done, the air box had broken so I had a bmc cda one fitted, after about a week or so of driving (about 1000 miles), when i popped the bonnet i noticed that the air pipe wasn't connected to the air filter (see this link http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...ll-loose.html)
for this reason i changed the MAF 2 weeks ago, symtoms were loads of black smoke (more than now), and juddery when driving at a constant speed. It's still juddery, especially at around 2000 rpm.
