Alfa 156 problems

Need advice: My 2001 2lit. manual 156 sounds strangly: An increasing whine noise when the engine is revved up, also a loud squeak from the belt area revving or derevving the engine from 1000-3000rpm. Car has new timing, new water pump, new service belt and a rebuilt variator. Dealer's garage says it is normal noise, but I suspect otherwise. Please advise - all responses received with thanks. Also where on the web can I purchase an inexpensive front badge and the small badge in the middle of each wheel? Thanks. Also, intercity fuel cosumption at 60-70 mph with AC on is 13+ km/lit (99R petrol) - is this normal?

Re: Alfa 156 problems

Whines and squeaks are not normal at all. Something s too tight, not fitted properly, rubbing or otherwise under undue stress.
It won`t last for the full time until the next change so take it back, before it goes pop. Anyway, why should you put up with a car that squeaks when it didn`t before?
