no codes no missfire no power jts 156
I am new here, but been browsing threads in an attempt to get my 2004 156 jts to run properly.
I fitted a new thermostat when I first got the car, it ran cold, and decoked the inlet tract (there was a fair bit of gunk build up), and it ran pretty well after that, a bit flat at the top end perhaps, but not bad. Then I had a coil pack go, and ordered a replacement and fitted it.
Now it is absoloutely gutless, about 50 bhp if you ask me, with a very loud barking sound from the inlet. its got an after market conical air filter so you can usually hear a bit of noise when you floor it but now its ridiculous.
Any ideas before I give the car away? Its done 80k miles and isn't worth more than a few hundred quid, so if its cats, its good bye time.
Just noticed, I took it for a drive and its quicker on part throttle, like about a cm or so.
I ran fiatecuscan on it, the fuel pressure was hitting 100 bar, which is OK.
