2.5 V6 Busso - whats normal temp gauge wise?
It should be (as with most modern cars) bang on half way. As strange as it sounds, it may be the beginning of a problem which ends at the gearbox! The engine earth is on the gearbox near the left front wheel. Road crap corrodes the connection and a temperature gauge reading a little odd is a classic sign. My 166 used to get 'hot' but pull over, turn off then immediately back on and it was back to normal.
I hit a snag when the bolt holding the earth lead on sheared, but it turns out that with opening the hole on the earth lead eyelet very slightly you can put it under one of the gearbox / engine mount bolts in the engine bay. This provided a great earthing point and was in a more protected area.

Never hold a grudge, its a sign of a small, petty person.
