156 2.5 V6 - Stalling

My Alfa keeps stalling when at low revs.

When I slow down to come to a stop my Alfa stalls, if however I take the car out of gear into neutral a little earlier than normal and the revs come down slowly then the car has a greater chance of not stalling.

I'm using a heel and toe to brake but keep he revs up to stop the car stalling.

Any diagnosis/advice and solutions would be greatful.

theres a possibility too that a throttle reset may cure it if the maf is ok. Deposits in the TB around the butterfly can also cause stalling.

I agree with ESM. Sounds like a dirty throttle butterfly.
