I've got a BMW 130i M Sport and not wanting to get flamed too much I'm gunna answer those points:
1) I personally am on a crusade to use my indicators all the time make up for all the company car drivers on their mobile phones that don't. We aren't all them!!!
2) Again I refer to company car drivers that are on their mobile phone rather than concentrating on the road, I don't cut people up, I have very good motorway manners
3) Might have a point
4) Not me gov, well I speed abit but I have got a big engine for a reason!!!
5) 3 series BMW deffo common as muck but BMW are doing M Sport kits that make them stand out much more than the company cars you seem to be refering to. My 130i has the M Sport Kit and I've only seen one like mine in 1 whole year, i do live up north though.
I've test driven the Alfa GT and it was good but not the driving machine that I have, they have a different ethos, the alfa is really good on looks and has soul, the beemer is clinical, the best at what it does...drive!
I was gunna get an alfa GT from autolusso.co.uk but like others got messed around so I dumped them, I still wanted something that wasn't common, same price bracket and a premium badge so that put me where I am.
I still look at the alfa GT's when they go by and go "that car's a beauty" but when I have my engine singing and my ass glued to the road I'm not too fussed.
Each to their own.
PS, BMW dealers are still car dealers, they aren't the owners of the car so don't meet all your expectations
