some *** has decided to remove the alfa badge on my boot by force, ive looked at the mounting bolts in a view to replace it, and they appear to be the security snap-off type.
has anyone had any experience of removing these, and fitting a second hand unit??

cheers guys..

Re: Vandals!!

I think you are going to have to drill out the security mounting bolts.

Re: Vandals!!

Don't have to drill anything.

Pop bootlid
Remove lining
Look at pin that badge revolved on
CAREFULLY Remove circlip
remove plastic spacer and spring
push through remainder of pin

clean under where badge used to be.

refit new badge / spring / spacer and circlip

Now go search for 17 plasters for your cut hands.

Took me 40 mins cos I got big hands. Ended up getting the Mrs to push on circlip.

156 JTS Lusso

Re: Vandals!!

Some **** stole the Lusso script badges from both wings of my 156 a few months ago. Didn't really leave any damage but really peed me off so my sympathy is with you mate.

What really annoyed me was that, in my case, the culprit was very likely to have been someone else who had an Alfa. (Was going to say 'another alfa owner' but didn't want anyone on here to think that I was suggesting that it was anyone with a semblance of appreciation for the marque).
