a 2005 is most likely a CF3 engine, JTD as opposed to JTDm so its actually supposed to be a 140 BHP, your's does sound re-mapped as in stock form they are and feel 140BHP, as it's a derv it's 140 will feel more torquey than the equivalent petrol but never the less its an advertised 9.3 seconds to 60 mph and a top speed of 130. that's hardly impressive by anyone's standards!
a good re-map can push them to 210 BHP without any issues other than the clutch and flywheel. if they are going they will ''go'' in short order.
the cloverleaf 170 BHP has a claimed 0-60 of 7.9 so that extra 20 BHP is good for a second and a half of the 0-60 sprint...mine (re-mapped to around 190) is good for close to 7 to 60mph and the top speed has increased, (not sure by exactly how much but lots left past 135 MPH )
bottom line given your history of cars if it feels quick in comparison its had a re-map.
