My car alarm keeps going off despite not being knocked, rocked by the wind or otherwise disturbed. I've noticed the red light on the button that locks the doors from inside the car is lit intermittently as I drive off but then goes out. When I set the alarm it beeps twice, indicators flash remote locking works fine. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance. Car is a 2004 GT 3.2.
if the alarm goes off, you can see what caused it by looking at the flashes of the interior alarm LED at first key-on. Codes are
After carrying out deactivation and at the first Key-On, the control unit indicates discharged transmitter batteries, alarms from volumetric, perimeter sensors, +15 and +30.
The indication takes place by the flashing of the dissuasion light for 120s ± 10%.
The meanings of the flashing are as follows:
Light on fixed: transmitter keyfob batteries discharged (disguises all the indications)
one or more doors
abnormal car lifting/sloping
(for versions/markets where applicable)
serial line (no signal/incorrect signal from siren for more than 3 times)
at least three causes of alarm
The flashes last 0.5 s ON, 0.5 s OFF and the indications are repeated after a pause of 1.5 s. If there are two different causes of alarm,
these are displayed in cycles.
Also explained in the instruction manual.
Most likely cause for the alarm going off is the volumetric alarm (ultrasound)
