HIDs fitted, my opinion!! If anyones interested!!
Hello all, I have been thinking about a HID kit for my 156 for a while, the original cost was a big problem, I looked at flea-bay kits, and UK sourced HID kits, and finally ordered a set of H7 HID lights from a UK Internet supplier.
Firstly, the bulbs are a bit longer than normal H7s, but they aren't huge. The fitting I documented in Images forum. The fit was quite easy, the kit I bought was idiot proof, each plug only had one way it could go round etc. The manual was blatantly pigeon English.
The kit fitted well and the light output has changed greatly, the new HIDs are whiter, brighter but still give a good defined cut-off beam.
The kit has not blown any bulbs, it has not made the bulb warning indicator light up, and it has not as yet caused anyone to flash me due to the brightness.
The front glass of the headlights used to get very hot in use, with the HIDs on for about 30minutes while driving, the lenses were cool to the touch.
I like them!!
