Re: Newbee needs urgent Alarm help please
Do the code thing again, and set it to country code 5 - that one is "silent locking" and doesnt trigger the alarm soon after locking.
The second beep after locking, means it thinks a door is open. Mine does it if the doors arent shut firmly, even tho they are shut.
Slightly slamming the doors one by one i found it stopped it when i got to the passenger door, its probably just adjustment of the micro switch that checks the door is closed.
It only happens when someone gets out of that side, or ive opened that door myself to take something out and closed it gently.
Check yours one by one.
(Wait till the car gives a blast of the new siren after setting to 5, then switch off the ignition BEFORE closing the bonnet, and it should be fine. This short siren blast is how it tells you its out of programming mode, you shut the bonnet before this and it counts as a button push. I had the same problem as you but repeated the programming and switched off before closing the bonnet and checking the C/L function)
**updated thought - the other day a weird thing happened, might be happening to you, when i pushed the lock button, the plastic of the key must have flexed enough to push the boot popper, so the boot unlocked as the doors were locking, and the alarm went off a few seconds later. It took me a minute or two to realise the boot had popped. Shut it, locked it, fine ever since lol
