hmm thats not good if its going to just keep on creeping up in miles.
Best to think theres a fault in the speedo itself, and maybe go from there. Look up BBA Reman and give them a call, they can maybe shed some light on it as they recondition speedos, ecu's etc.
What about an ecu reset?
Search the forum for it and try the steps to do that, and see if it stops the problem, otherwise its a needle in a haystack from the gearbox speed sensor, to the ecu, to the speedo itself.
Sorry its difficult to be precise with this. I'd phone BBA to get a better idea. I used to work on Bosch ECU's but we had schematics and test equipment to use, its different having to guess about an instrumentation fault. In the factory we could hook up the ecu to a test set and watch the outputs on a scope or analyser.
Maybe a scan for error codes would throw something up, like sensor out of range or summat.
