Re: 156 op temperature
My TS runs at just under 90ºC once it is warm. The fan comes in at just over 90, is your fan cutting in?
It is possible that your gauge or temp sensor is just reading wrong, it is not unknown, especially if it has been disturbed.
You don't say what model of 156 you have but TS 156's use 2 temp sensors, one for the ECU and one for the gauge. The ecu sensor controls the fan and is located on the thermostat housing, the one for the gauge is screwed into the cylinder head near the thermostat housing.
Try inplugging the one on the thermostat housing, the fan should come on as a safety feature. If the fan doesn't come on then you have a problem with the fan or wiring.
If the fan is coming on at around 90 on the gauge and the car is still getting hotter you may have a waterpump or radiator problem.
You will never be cool driving a Vauxhall.
