A very reluctant sale of my stunning GT which I have owned for 6 months and have spent LOTS of money on it in that time but circumstances mean I can't really afford to run it. I will be back http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/images/smilies/smile.gif
Please note : lots of pictures to follow as I will be taking the car to be cleaned this week.
I will be needing a replacement car that is cheaper to run so will consider swaps/part ex. I will consider 147 Ducati Corse, GT Cloverleaf (170) 1.9, 159 TI 2.2 or 2.4, Brera 2.2 or 2.4 etc.
Alfa Romeo GT 3.2 V6
- 2004 (cheaper tax bracket)
80k Miles (will go up slightly)
Dark grey Leather
5 former keepers
Optional Extras :
- Original satnav/phone (with GB and Euro discs)
Reverse parking sensors
18" original spoke alloys
- Q2 LSD (with badge on boot)
Scorpion cat back exhaust system (fitted in May 2015, receipt available). Sound is out of this world!
Parrot Bluetooth phone kit (fitted in June 2015)
Work carried out since I have taken ownership :
The following work was completed by AFH1 in May/June 2015 (fully receipted for £2122.27)
I have also had the following jobs completed by my friend who is a mechanic
- Cambelt, water pump, aux belt replaced
New head gaskets
Replace spark plugs
New door straps (drivers & passenger)
Lambda switch 1 above cat
New drivers side heated seat switch
- 4 x new tyres
Fitting of replacement front flexi exhaust pipes
New Bosch windscreen wipers
2 x brake discs
New brake pads
New rear brake caliper
New handbrake cables
The brake calipers have been repainted in Ferrari Red with white Brembo lettering
The alloys wheels have be refurbished in the original silver, they took a week to do so as you can imagine they look fantastic
The red lettering on the engine bay has been repainted and rocker and plenum cover polished
The car had a new battery last year (still in warranty with receipt)
Bad Points :
I would rather be honest, they are all small jobs in comparison to what I have had sorted so far mind
- The reverse parking sensors do not work, they beep which is a good sign but just not when they should
The odd age related mark for a car of this age as expected on the exterior and interior (remember it is 11 years old), no dints on the exterior though which is good going
EDIT - My missus noticed the damaged sill yesterday...thanks tyre man!!!
Unfortunately the previous owner who was a user of this forum didn't get the service book stamped in his time of his ownership. He ensured me it was serviced yearly by a now defunct indie in Chesterfield, I forget the name of it, who also fitted the Q2.
As you can imagine with all the work that has been carried out the engine is as sweet as, with a smooth clutch to add to the fun, it feels like a new car in fact, I suppose it almost is with the money I have spent thus far haha. The Scorpion cat back just sets it off perfectly with a stunning grumble and then roar when you put your foot down, which is often. It has both keys and the log book, service book and manual. It is light on receipts from pre-my ownership but I have made sure it is running again as it should be. I am sure Martin at AFH1 would answer any questions you have regarding the car, just mention Graham (a gold customer ha). I get people talk to me about the car a fair bit in petrol stations, car parks etc so it is certainly a head turner.
It is booked in for it's MOT on Monday so it will have 12 months MOT
