the game has changed immeasurably in the last few years, ten years ago the ling long ditchfinder comments may well have been correct but companies like Nexen (I use and would happily recommend the N8000 ) they are at least as good as Pirelli P zero Rosso I had on previously in fact I would say they are as good in the dry better in the wet and less noisy.
they have a significant R&D budget and have come consistently top 5 in all of the independent tire tests
the best part..? £50 a corner delivered, exactly half the price of P-zeros, I have a re-mapped GT running roughly 190bhp and don't feel my safety is at all compromised and i drive in a very ''spirited'' fashion.
how many examples of far eastern manufacturing starting out sub quality and then improving to become tried and trusted household names would you like?,
Honda, kawasaki,Nissan,Toyota were all considered sub par compared to european and american manufacturers when they began to enter non domestic markets, sometimes with justification now we all consider them consistent and reliable.
this is a well worn path, get with the program and save yourself lots of money or continue to insist only ''name brands'' can make a decent tire and keep spending double your hard earned for no reason.
