All very well sitting in Spain and looking at data on the Internet.
But if you read exactly what I wrote you'll find it difficult to argue with.
I'm sure it was below 7degC in the middle of the night, but I wasn't driving then!!
At the times I was driving over the last two winters it was above 7degC.
Going from the temp readout on the dash (plus actually being there...).
I lived in and near London for close to 9 years, so I think that gives me some 'on the ground' experience if you will. People move around, you know...
I'm willing to accept that maybe the last 2 winters were very mild (I wasn't there), but 7 degrees celcius is not actually that cold and very common as the historical data illustrates.
All that being said, despite having spent nearly 20 years driving cars in climates comparable to southern England, I never bought winter tyres.
