Dodgy electrical connection in 156 engine bay

Hi all,

Over the past couple of weeks my 156 2.0 TS has been randomly failing to start. When i turn the key in the ignition the dashboard lights come on as normal but the engine will not fire up. I have managed to get it started several times by wiggling the the electrical connection circled in the attached photo. Does anyone know what this connection is and can it be easily replaced?
