Hi Alfa people,
This may sound like the most naïve question I've ever asked but I have no basis or experience to know!
Although having a fair few cars (and Alfa's) in the past, I've never owned a diesel before and the clutch seems 'dodgy' compared to petrol cars I've owned - I've never experienced clutch failure before, and I wanted to know if mine sounds like it is failing! - I really hope not as have only had the car 6 months and it has already required repair work to the tune of nearly a grand! The car is on 87k miles and is an 8V JTD
My clutch doesn't slip at all (as far as I can tell) but it does seem to have a very high biting point and the bite does not seem very smooth. If pulling away as I work through the biting point I will feel a shudder. Also, (and this maybe unrelated?); third gear if selected quickly, can clunk a touch but always engages.
Does this all point to a dodgy clutch?
Thanks for any advice guys.
