To be honest I also think the slightly lighter TS has a better time braking than the V6 and the JTD due to weight and using the same size discs / pads. Bar the GTA that is.
There are a few people I've read that don't think the standard brakes are up to the job. But mine have never had fade or any issues. Feel is a bit rubbish but again I put that down to pads and the fact the car is old and uses a single piston floating caliper design.
The 156 V6 I had generally had better feel for the first part of the braking and felt over servo'd but then actual stopping power it was a bit rubbish.
Dad has used Eicher and warped the discs on his BMW 320d. So his experience isn't very good. He swapped to Pagid discs. They make OE stuff so should be just as good regardless.
If anything cheap out on the discs and buy slightly better than average pad's.
On the Wife's Honda Jazz i just use the cheaper end and never had any issues. But she doesn't exactly blast round like I do.
